Deputy Chair
I have been a member of the Forum for 3years and I chair the East Staffordshire District Patient Engagement Group. I believe in patient engagement and understanding. I have worked in Social Care and Hospitals for over 40 years. I am an expert by experience in Dementia care and am involved in the promotion of Carers health. I have been a Foster Carer, working with adolescents. This made me interested in teenage health problems and pregnancy. I am also knowledgeable about and involved with Armed Forces mental health issues, anticoagulation therapy, undiagnosed heart conditions and learning disabilities. I am also a member of the East and South East Clinical Commissioning Group.

I first became involved in patient participation following early retirement in April 2009. I joined the Tutbury Practice Patient Forum in July 2009 and have been active in assisting with the growth of the Forum and its relationship with the patients it represents, the surgery partners and staff. I am totally committed to this work, along with the patient representation on the District Engagement Group, East Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Group Patient Board and other health-related organisations within the East Staffordshire communities. My hobbies include reading, gardening, quizzes, and watching sports
